Some of our homes offer around the clock care for people with profound developmental disabilities, while other homes serve as a transition to independent living and provide training in cooking, money management, transportation, time management, and other basic living skills.

part-time hr assistant

Lifehouse is hiring a detail-oriented HR Assistant who is committed to excellent service. The HR team at Lifehouse works hard to provide the best support to our employees because they are the core of our success. This position will focus on the on-boarding of our new direct support professionals.

This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week.

What you will be doing:

  • Pre-screen applicants for direct support positions through phone interviews, schedule interviews for managers.

  • Check references for potential new hires and support managers with the new hire process.

  • Provide new hire orientations, track clearances for new hires

  • Maintain employee files. Make sure our documentation is complete and we are in compliance with policies and regulations. Scan and organize digital employee files.

  • Input new hires in HRIS, Time & Attendance and Scheduling software. Update as needed.

  • Answer employee questions and / or point them in the right direction.

  • Within the HR team work on projects as assigned.

Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 /hour


QIDP/Administrator position for 3 ICF group homes in San Rafael and Novato. Each home has their own house manager that you will supervise. This is a fulltime, exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case management oversight

  • Supervise management of ICF staff

  • Staff scheduling, medical monitoring

  • Individual Service Plan development

  • Documentation including Individual Service Plans and Incident Reporting

  • Recruitment, hiring and retention of staff

  • Respond to afterhours emergencies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BA in Social Services or a related field required.

  • Supervisory/managerial experience

  • Minimum of one year experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.

  • Knowledge of all Title 17 and title 22 regulations.

  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
