Whether you can volunteer every week, each month or just a few times a year, Lifehouse has an opportunity for you!

SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Great Chefs Of Marin Lifehouse’s well-known black tie gala event’s success relies on a large staff of volunteers. Join the planning committee from September to May or help out on the weekend, day and/or night of the event. (April)

Marin Human Race Support Lifehouse in the largest collaborative fundraiser in Marin County by fundraising on behalf of Lifehouse or volunteering to walk with or push one of our clients on the day of the race. (May)

Motorcycle Run Motorcycle enthusiasts hop on their hogs to benefit Lifehouse. Volunteers keep the good times revved up by helping with set up, rider registration and raffle. Sponsored by the Golden Gate Harley-Davidson dealership and Golden Gate Harley Owners Group. (May)

Summer Picnic Enjoy the summer sun along with Lifehouse clients, staff and friends in an afternoon of barbeque and fun. Volunteers set up, register guests, serve food, sell raffle tickets, face paint and clean up. (July)

Awards Banquet Help Lifehouse honor individuals in the community who have been instrumental to the success of our programs with an evening of dinner and dancing. Volunteers register guests, assist with seating and sell raffle tickets. (September)

Holiday Party Make the seasons bright for Lifehouse clients, staff and friends with a festive night of food, dancing and fun. Volunteers add to the evening’s merriment and help with event set up, registration, food service and clean up. (December)

ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Client Buddies Go on community outings with a client – go to the movies, ball games, bowling, hikes or museums. Teach or tutor a skill, such as math or reading. Once a week or once a month! A Lifehouse staff member will supervise.

Team Building Groups of co-workers, family or friends can “Adopt-a-House” by doing yard clean up, landscaping or home improvement projects. Organize group outings or holiday parties together. Run a fundraiser to benefit Lifehouse. Suggest your own team project!

Administrative Office Lend a hand at the Lifehouse offices with general office duties, such as data entry, word processing, mailing projects, Internet research and organization projects.

Creative Services Share your flair for the creative! Design Lifehouse print collateral (brochures, invitations). Help capture special moments as an event photographer. Help maintain and enhance Lifehouse’s internet presence with your web design and social media skills.

Professional & Technical Assistance Apply your specialized expertise in areas such as computer consulting, strategic planning and legal consultation.

Maintenance & Repair Roll up your sleeves and help Lifehouse maintain our living communities by sharing your repair or home improvement skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, painting and landscaping.

Holidays Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah – Holidays are often difficult times for some of our clients. Cooking meals and small gatherings are very much appreciated!
