For over 17 years, Lifehouse has hosted its Annual Community Awards Banquet. Over 350 guests gather for this special evening of celebration as we honor outstanding community supporters, the people we serve and our staff members for their personal achievements.
The Awards Banquet is an important tradition for our agency and the community. It is a favorite event for our supporters as well as the people we serve. There is camaraderie and warmth felt throughout the room. For our supporters, this event provides an opportunity to visit with the people we serve on a social basis. Our honorees are recognized for their achievements, instilling a sense of togetherness and inspiration within the community. The Awards Banquet is a topic of discussion for months among all attendees before and after the event takes place.
This event is not a fundraiser. Sponsors help to cover the costs of the evening, which is free to our clients and staff. We work closely with all of the event vendors to keep costs to a minimum. Embassy Suites Hotel kindly provides a 15% discount on the food and service, which comprises the largest expense. The total expenditure for this event is approximately $20,000, and our goal is to break even.
